Nurgles rot

It all started some time ago. The search for the one Relic, that can help us construct powerful Daemon engines and control them.

But each step forward was turned out to be in to the wrong direction. Huron Blackhearth him self, picked Imperial ships with Librarians on board, and raided them. in hopes that of them might have the needed information about the Relic, and his location. But from all of them, only one gave the needed information.

The librarian was tortured for several months, until his sanity was damaged beyond repair. The Librarian started spilling out names of planets. Planets that might potentially be of interest to Huron.
Huron searched them all, and only one was remaining.

Red corsairs, along side Huron Black Hearth have landed on a devastated planet in order to find the Relic they where searching for.
The sorcerer of the fleet has felt massive energy waves from this planet. Which might indicate that the source might be coming from the artifact it self.
But there was some other energy coming from the planet as well. And that was the energy of Nurgle.

Huron decided to personally lead the force, in order to achieve his goal. But when the force came to  where the energy was coming from, they encountered a bad surprise.... Typhus.

The air was filed with stench of rotting flesh. The skies field with flies. Area was filled with Plague Marines, and all its inhabitants where killed, and then resurrected to fight for Nurgle. The planet was doomed...
But all of that didnt concern the Tyrant. All Huron wanted to know is:  Why is Typhus here?
Could it be that he is also after the Relic? If so, then why? He is the Herald of Nurgle, and thus, has more power then the artifact.

But there was no time to think on the matter. Because Huron and his forces where spotted. A massive beast of Nurgle gave out an agonizing scream, which alerted every one of the Red Corsairs.
A lasscannon shot hit the Red Corsairs rhino. Upon examining the battlefield, Huron noticed that the Death Guard army had an Predator tank in their ranks as well.

If that wasn't bad enough, Typhus started casting Psychic powers on the zombies. And he was to far away to try and stop it from happening.

Huron Immediately ordered his force to concentrate fire power at the massive blob of undead, that surrounds Typhus.

While his squad of Bikers, armed with meltas, and the Heldrake should move as fast as they can and try and take out the Predator.

If they let the predator continue shooting, that might be a big problem to Hurons plans. As it has the fire power of taking down all of their tanks, and whats most important, the Heldrake.

The bikers turbo busted behind an destroyed building, hiding them selves from eye sight of Thyphus and his forces .
All in order to flank the enemy lines and kill their machinery.

But what they saw was horrifying. All the Bolter shots, that came from the Corsairs, had almost no effect on the Zombies.
They where still running forward, covered in green ooze dripping down from the bolter holes that they suffered. With Typhus in the middle of them, he was laughing, and his laughter was ice cold.

But that wasn't the only problem the Corsairs faced. Some Deathguard forces also prepared a flank attack, and where only waiting for the right moment to strike.

While the massive hulking daemon was threatening the middle of the battle field with his presence.

One more shot came from the Predator, and hit the Rhino right in the front armor. Damaging it even more. And one of the shot found its target in a squad of chaos bikers, that where left with the main force, killing of one of them right on the spot.

Typhus got closer to the Corsairs, his zombies charging towards the bikers, when suddenly, Hurons trap closed.

A Daemon Prince, loyal to the Red Corsairs, and one Hellbrute along side with couple of spawns, that where hiding all this time. Jumped forward the zombies and shot some of the undead, and decreased their numbers down.

When the time came. Huron gave the   command to counter attack.
Hellbrute tried to shoot at the Plague   Hulk. He shot the beast right in to the   chest. But the power of Nurgle is to   strong. The beast just doesn't fill a thing   and continues moving forward.
The bikers took out their flamers, and   pointed them straight towards the   zombies,  in attempt to open Typhus for   and open Assault. But there was just to   many of the undead. Many of them fail   on to the ground, burning to a crisp. But   twice as many up roached, walking on   top of the burning bodies.  As last   attempt to kill the hoard, the first line of   Corsairs, charged in to the them. But that was a mistake. Thyphus smashed his undead soldiers on the the ground, making his way towards the Chaos Marines, and charging them him self.
The Marines managed to defeat the hoard, leaving none standing.

But the Herald Typhus, slashed with his scythe killing of some of the Marines. Then he put his hands in to the sky, and casted a power that obliterated every single Corsair that was in combat. All that was left was their ashes.
Typhus aught in Joy, taking pleasure in his deeds. And all in the name of Nurgle.
While he was pleased with his deeds, he didn't notice how he was surrounded by the Daemon Prince and two spawns.

Seeing all of that unfold, the flanking squad had no other choice but to interfere.
The Heldrake flew over the Plague Hulk and one more hoard of zombies, and flamed it, which caused some damage. Then it grabbed the Nurgle Beast with its claws and lashed and assault on it. Biting it in the neck, trying to bite of its head, and put and end to the beast that was slowly moving towards Huron and his lines.
By burning some of the zombies down, it gave a chance to the biker squad to charge the undead, and have a chance of killing them of.

But while the Red Corsairs flanking unit had to change their priority. A squad of Plague Marines managed to fulfill their role, and flanked Huron him self.
They sneaked up to Huron and lashed an attack towards him. The Champion, of Hurons personal squad, saw the attackers. And thus blocked their way towards his Lord and took the attack him self.
The two squads went in to a close combat, with the Plague Bearers killing each and every one of them. The last marine standing was the Champion him self. He drew his power sword in to the Plague Bearers shoulder. But with little to no effect. The Death Guard marine took his plague knife, and stabbed the champion in to the chest, leaving him to die on the ground. Then they, once again, made their way towards Huron.
The Tyrant turned around, stretched his arm forward and casted a Psychic power that killed of every single Plague Bearer except only two. The two remaining once where pushed back and on to the ground. Huron then grabbed his ax, came to the two survivors and shopped of their heads. Thus, securing his flank from any other attack.
But he knew, that no more flank attacks will be made. He knew, that Typhus won.

He saw Typhus standing on top of the Daemon Prince. Both where covered in wounds. Flies, that where the skies, rushed towards the Herald and covered his wounds, feasting on the rotten blood and was coming out from them.
Typhus raised his Scythe and slashed the Prince on his chest, opening it from the nect to the lower ribs.
The scream of the Daemon Prince spread true out the entire battle field. And hen it vanished in to the warp.
An almost dead Typhus killed his enemies in combat. And was looking towards Huron.
He pointed his finger, and made him self clear, that Huron is next. He made his first step towards him, when the Heldrake landed behind the Herald.
Typhus tuned around, and saw the Daemon Engine looking down at him. The Dragon opened his mouth and unleashed its flames on Typhus. Burning, Typhus fell on to the ground. The Heldrake flew over him towards his master.

Huron Sat in one of his Rhinos, and made his way towards his ship. He saw his last remaining squad of bikers being devoured by zombies. And the Plague Hulk, damaged but still alive, making his way towards the body of Typhus. While flying of the planet, he saw Typhus standing on his feet once again, and looking towards the Tyrant.

No Relic was found, and Red Corsairs suffered a massive defeat.
